Description: Located on the banks of the upper South Santiam River, River Bend is the newest addition to the Linn County Park System. This 90-acre park offers a full range of outdoor recreation opportunities including trails, river access, camping, day-use and group facilities. With a total of just 45 campsites, River Bend is perfect for quiet getaways.

arow Changes to your reservation may incur a $5.00 change fee per site. 

arow65 total Campsites are reservable and 13 first come, first serve campsites. One reservable group camp that consists of 6 water/electric campsites with a group meeting area.

arow Cabins sleep six and come with small fridge, microwave, power, picnic table, fire ring, covered patio, outdoor barbeque and water spigot. Nightly rate of $65.00. Call for more information.

arow 8 guest maximum per site.
arow 3-night minimum for Memorial Day & Labor Day holidays.

arow River Bend campground will winterized every year in Mid November, and only the campsites mentioned below will have water hook-ups for winter use:

6A, 8A, 9A, 11A, 5B, 6B, 7C, 8C, 9C, 6D and 8D.

All other campsites will not have the water on but are still available for camping.

Standard campsiteCampsites

All campsites come with one fire ring and one picnic table on a concrete pad that is 14' wide. Campsite has an asphalt slip that is 12' wide by 60' long. On the ADA (Handicap) campsites they have a 16' wide by 20' concrete pad.

Great hiking trails and pathways meander through River Bend County Park. Enjoy a quiet walk as you wind gently around the park and get in touch with nature.

Large Open-Air group meeting area that comes with reserving the G-Loop group camp, comes with six campsites, all with water and electric hook-ups.

Perfect for small family gatherings around the fire. Comes with a fire ring, water spigot, gray water sink drain, single charcoal barbecue, two picnic tables and buffet table for those large family meals.

River Bend County Park offers great areas for shore fishing. Rocky bends in the river are perfect retreats for elusive fish. Walk the riverbank and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature as you try to hook the big one.

Playground

River Bend County Park is great for all ages. Bring the entire family for day-use events like birthday parties and family get-togethers. The playground makes a perfect activity for kids during a family, camping adventure.

Perfect for family reunions, community groups and large get-togethers. These shelter areas are designated for large groups and include built-in benches, sink, double charcoal barbecue and picnic tables. This gazebo also includes adjacent space surrounding the shelter (as seen). Shelters can be reserved (To reserve the shelter please call our office)**. Please note that special-use permits request form are required for dunk tanks, bounce castles and slides.

The enclosed shelter is designed  for smaller groups (50 or less) and the shelter  includes a large stone fireplace with hearth, built-in counters, picnic tables and electrical outlets.

Shelters can be reservedThis gazebo also includes adjacent space surrounding the shelter (as seen in photo). The shelter has limited parking for the shelter but we do have overflow parking available elsewhere. Please note that special-use permits request form are required for dunk tanks, bounce castles and inflatable slides. Linn County Parks does not ALLOW ANY LIVE BANDS, AMPLIFIED MUSIC OR KAROKE MACHINES at any of our facilities.

Nearby Attractions

The City of Sweet Home is located on the southeastern edge of the beautiful Willamette Valley and lies nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range. It is recognized as the "Gateway to the Santiam Playground" recreational area. For more information go to: Sweet Home Chamber of Commerce.

The Linn County Historical Museum is located in historic Brownsville, Oregon. Housed in Brownsville's original railroad depot, the museum holds collections and information representing all of Linn County. The museum also cares for the Moyer House, an elegant home completed in 1881 by pioneering figures of Brownsville. The Oregon Jamboree located in Sweet Home is the Northwest's Premier Country photoMusic and Camping Festival. The Jamboree offers an intimate concert experience. In addition to featured headline entertainment this family style event hosts RV and tent camping, food booths, beer & wine gardens, and special displays. Founded in 1992, The Jamboree is produced by the nonprofit Sweet Home Economic Development Group. Over 400 festival volunteers contribute their efforts to insure a safe and fun experience for all. Green Peter Reservoir spans over 3720 acres of water and camping recreation. It is operated by the Corps of Engineers and is only nine miles up Quartzville Road from the Sunnyside County Park. Larwood and Shimanek Covered Bridges Oregon has more covered bridges than photoany other state west of the Mississippi. Many of the covered bridges are concentrated in the Sweet Home area. For more information about all the covered bridges in Linn County go to: Covered Bridges of Oregon.

The Sportsman's Holiday and Sweet Home Rodeo, held in July, this popular event features a professional rodeo, grand parade, buckaroo breakfast, music and dancing, an amusement carnival, and fireworks over Foster Lake. If you enjoy rodeo events like bull riding, calf roping, barrel racing and steer wrestling, the Sweet Home Rodeo has them all.
